Christmas is going to look different for everyone this year.
Together we can show our communities the hope we have that never changes.
A Christmas you will want to remember
This year, none of us know how Christmas is going to look. All we know is that for people across our country, and across the world, it won’t feel as it has done before. Families will be apart, individuals will be alone, and the traditions we know and love will be missing.
We’re putting together resources to help churches and individuals reconnect with the real story behind the celebrations, and helping people see that Christmas offers hope to us all, gives us cause to celebrate even in dark times – and reminds us that with Christ, we are never alone.
Through these resources, we will give households the opportunity to display that hope through their own windows and show our communities that the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Christmas Windows - All-age Countdown
Ten postcards hold ten days of advent readings, fun activities, and time together as families pause for five minutes and consider the nativity story. Every day households will add an element to their own Christmas Window – a display from the inside will remind them that in the busyness and difference of this Christmas period, Christ has come for us. And from the outside, neighbours walking by will see and be challenged by that message of hope that is as true and as needed in this year as in any other.
Following the final two Bible 2020 themes, this beautifully produced magazine contains daily Bible readings throughout December as well as reflections and ideas to respond to the readings.
We will be making these magazines available for churches and groups to buy in bulk, and can be used within the church, or as something to deliver to your communities over the Advent period.
