THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE
The Easter Story is the heart of the Christian Gospel:
The good news that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, born at Bethlehem, grew to be a man who died on a cross for our sins, and was raised to life on the third day. It is a story in which there is darkness and death. But it is not, in the end, death and darkness that win. Instead, the resurrection of Jesus declares a message of light and life.
It is an urgent and vital story for our moment.
This year we have created two resources that help us to anchor ourselves afresh in the unchanging truth and wonder of the Easter Story.
wonder walks - all age outdoor lent & easter resource
Wonder Walks is a walking route map with a big difference – it doesn’t matter where you go!
Download one of our eight maps and take it with you when you go out for a walk. One each map you will find something to read from the Gospel of Mark, questions to think about, games to play, and ideas to pray about. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance, just download your map and head off for your weekly Wonder Walk!
Our 2021 Easter reader is a collection of 40 short daily readings. Accompanying each reading is a brief reflection and prayer.
The reader follows three themes – “The Son”, “His Kingdom Comes” and “The Triumphant King”.
The reader reflections run from 8th March to 16th April
Our Easter reader is a helpful companion to bring you to the Bible over Lent and Easter, as you take time to reflect on the one who is the resurrection and the life.
We are giving copies of the booklet away for free (just pay for postage and packaging) so that you can distribute and read these passages and reflections with your church, small group, family and friends.
